The K8-8K is Going Green!
The K8-8K is not just a run/walk anymore. This year, it’s an event for the entire family to enjoy while learning about the environment.
KAIT and The Environment Committee of the Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce are teaming up to provide a fun, educational family event for Region 8. There will be an interactive, supervised area for kids to enjoy including coloring, story time with Mama Earth, a bounce house, food provide by the Triple FM Radio Group and more. This will give parents the opportunity to bring the entire family out to enjoy the event while they run or walk the 8K.
As part of the Earth Day/Arbor Day celebrations, every participant will receive a free seedling tree.
The Family Fun Zone, brought to you by The Environment Committee of the Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce, is open from 8:15am – Noon.
Join us at beautiful Craighead Forest Park for the 6th annual K8-8K!
Runners – bring your used running shoes for recycling! Westside Elementary school will clean the shoes and distribute them to area children in need.
Traffic Note:
For the safety of our runners and walkers, traffic at the entrance to the park will be CLOSED from 7:45am – 8:05am (or all participants pass the entrance road.) We appreciate your assistance with this safety precaution!
